Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Kimberly Gora

For today's Motivation Monday, I pulled out the Traditions of Christmas Collection and created some beautiful, elegant Christmas cards. The rich colors, festive florals, and touches of gold in this collection make it so easy to design cards that feel timeless and classic.

We kept the focus on simple layouts that highlight the gorgeous paper and let the details shine. It was the perfect way to kick off the week...full of Christmas spirit and creative inspiration!

Today I'm excited to share not one, but two cards I created using the shuffle technique with gorgeous Stampin' Up! Traditions of Christmas DSP.

This technique is such a fun way to mix and match patterns. Plus it helps to get the most out of your paper by creating multiple coordinating cards at once.

Both cards feature a festive banner sentiment that reads "Sending Love & Joy", perfect for Holiday Greetings. To finish the design, I added a stunning flower bouquet, that was cut with a die, from the Designer paper. The gold brings out the richness of the designer paper and gives each card a truly elegant finish.

Step up your cards using die-cuts like below.

To make a shuffle card pick 3 or 4 coordinating papers.

If you want a border around your DSP cut your DSP 5" x 3-3/4" (my choice)

If you do NOT want a border, cut your DSP 5-1/4" x 4.

You can cut all pieces at once.

1. Your first cut will be at 2-3/4" (Portrait)

set cut off pieces aside.

2. Your 2nd cut will be at 2-1/4"(landscape) with remaining paper.

3. Your 3rd cut you will bring the 1st cut off pieces back in, and cut at 2") landscape.

4. Now you can mix/match and shuffle your cards to glue onto your card.

5. Die-cut label, and stamp in Cherry Cobbler.

Today I'm sharing a pair of festive fun fold flap cards featuring Stampin' Up! Traditions of Christmas. This collection has such beautiful patterns, rich colors, and elegany gold accents. It's perfect for Holiday crafting!

For these cards, I wanted to highlight the gorgeous florals and metallic details in the paper while adding a little interactive twist with the flap fold.

I created two versions, changing up the colors slightly on each card. It's amazing how just a small shift in color can give the same layout a whole new personality!

The torn edges give you a little dimention, and the embossed pieces add extra wow to the already beautiful gold foil trim. With beautiful paper, a creative fold, and a little ribbon and trim, you can make a handmade card that truly shines.
